We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Manager for a permanent position in our manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our company complies with all current EHS regulations and practices, and for creating a culture of safety throughout the organization. This role will include overseeing all aspects of our EHS programs, including safety training, audits, and the implementation of new policies and procedures. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3. Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Provide training and education to employees on EHS policies and practices.
5. Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
6. Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
7. Stay current with all EHS regulations and industry best practices, and ensure that the company is in compliance.
8. Develop and manage emergency response procedures.
9. Participate in the design and development of facilities, work areas, and work procedures, and make environmental, health, and safety recommendations accordingly.
10. Manage the EHS budget, and ensure the efficient use of resources.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar certification is preferred.
4. In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
5. Proven experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
