About the Role

As an AI Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for translating Propio’s language services strategy into AI-powered tools that deliver measurable value to interpreters, clients, and internal teams. This includes defining use cases, shaping the AI roadmap, and collaborating closely with engineers, researchers, and operations.

This role requires fluency in both business and technical domains especially large language models (LLMs), speech recognition, and real-time interpreter workflows. You will drive delivery of AI products such as conversation summarization, interpreter quality scoring, and multilingual retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize, and execute the roadmap for AI-powered features and tools
  • Work closely with AI engineers, prompt engineers, and MLOps to turn ideas into deliverables
  • Collaborate with interpretation operations, legal / compliance, and client-facing teams to identify high-impact use cases
  • Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Define and track KPIs for model performance, product adoption, and business impact
  • Lead structured testing and rollout of AI MVPs and pilots (e.g., interpreter assist tools, auto-summarization, QA insights)
  • Ensure all AI products meet relevant standards for privacy, safety, compliance (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, Section 1557)
  • Stay informed on LLM and speech AI trends to inform build vs. buy decisions and new opportunity discovery

Requirements : Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a technical domain (AI, SaaS, or infrastructure tools preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI / ML concepts, especially LLMs, embeddings, ASR (e.g., OpenAI, Whisper, RAG, vector search)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior work in regulated industries (healthcare, legal, government) is a plus
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, and user feedback platforms
  • Strong ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across all departments within the organization
  • Ability to make key decisions under a cloud of uncertainty with limited information
  • Experienced working with Scrum development methodology serving in the Product Manager role
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments

  • Experience working directly with data scientists or ML engineers
  • Background in linguistics, interpretation, or multilingual platforms
  • Experience in NLP-heavy product development
  • Understanding of model evaluation metrics and annotation workflows
