Technical Writer

Overview

The successful candidate will be part of the KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) Big Data and Knowledge Management Team working on Big Data systems supporting DoD Test Ranges and various acquisition programs. We are seeking a highly experienced DoD Technical Writer with a strong understanding of DoD processes and documentation standards to join our dynamic distributed team. The Technical Writer will create, edit and maintain a wide range of technical documentation and translate complex technical information into clear, concise content. The role requires proven experience writing for DoD audiences and familiarity with DoD documentation standards. Only US citizens with active DoD Secret clearances and 5+ years of technical writing experience within a DoD environment will be considered. The candidate should be prepared to provide writing and graphic layout samples alongside their resume. This role is part of the ITEA award-winning TRMC Big Data Knowledge Management team focused on revolutionizing how data analysis is performed across the Department of Defense.

Basic Compensation ranges :

Maryland area : $98,000 – $120,000

California area : $103,000 - $126,000

DC area : $103,000 - $126,000

Colorado area : $94,000 - $115,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities and / or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and internal parity.
