(Lead) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Compensation : $150–$200 / hour (DOE)

Type : 1099 Contractor

Hello! ???? We're looking for a seasoned, Lead PMHNP-BC to join our Seattle-based private practice. This role begins as a contract position, but our vision is to find a long-term teammate who will grow with us, with the potential for W-2 employment as we expand and evolve as a practice.

The successful candidate is confident in managing their own caseload, documentation, and clinical decision-making with minimal oversight. This position is ideal for an experienced clinician who wants flexibility, professional autonomy, and the support of an established practice handling the administrative and marketing side of private practice.

Hours will start part-time at about 5–10 hours per week and steadily ramp up as patient cases are added. Most patient care is telehealth with at least one day weekly in-office. Must be local to the Seattle area and hold active and unrestricted Washington DEA, ARNP, and RN licenses. Availability to see patients on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays is preferred.

You Are :

  • A confident, emotionally intelligent, and passionate PMHNP with at least 2 years' independent practice experience
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Good at prioritizing time-sensitive and clinically acute cases
  • Local to the Seattle area

Clinical Duties : ($150–$200 / billable hour)

  • Conduct thoughtful psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments for patients ages 6+
  • Provide stellar, warm, and highly effective clinical care
  • Refer to and interpret internal ADHD and genetic testing reports
  • Maintain timely (signed within 7 days) and accurate notes in our EHR Tebra (big bonus if you've used Tebra / Kareo)
  • Collaborate with the Edwards Psychiatry team on patient care and practice growth

    • Leadership Duties : (compensated separately at a competitive administrative hourly rate)

  • Monitor the practice inbox and reply to patient inquiries in a timely (response time 48 hours or less) and compassionate manner
  • Provide clinical coverage when other providers are out (and vice versa)
  • Triage and respond to refill requests according to your clinical judgment
  • Assist with prior authorizations and other tasks requiring clinical input

    • What You'll Bring :

  • Active and unrestricted Washington ARNP, RN, DEA, and NPI
  • Active ANCC PMHNP-BC certification
  • An established PLLC (preferred for 1099 structure)
  • Expertise in ADHD diagnosis and treatment (children + adults)
  • Commitment to excellent care, teamwork, and long-term growth
