Join Our Team as an Ambulatory Nurse!

Are you ready to make a difference? As an Ambulatory Nurse at Carle Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. Utilizing a systematic approach to nursing, you will engage in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, all within the RN scope of practice defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Your Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will :

• Deliver and facilitate competent healthcare to patients and families, ensuring adherence to established standards of care.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of care.
• Provide health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Act as a preceptor, supporting the development of fellow staff and healthcare students.
• Lead initiatives aimed at improving the quality of care and clinical outcomes.
• Administer medications via various routes (IM, PO, Rectal, IV, SQ, and Inhaled).
• Perform essential procedures including ear washes, nebulizer treatments, wound care, and more.
• Assist providers with procedures such as vaginal exams and incision drainage.
• Be an integral member of the Code Team.
• Serve as a resource nurse during your shifts.
• Conduct telephone triage and manage work in the basket.
• Room patients, including obtaining vital signs and medication reconciliation.
• Engage in patient education to empower individuals in their health journeys.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $32.21 - $55.40 per hour . This range reflects a good faith minimum and maximum for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience, qualifications, and shifts worked.
