About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Editorial Content with a strategic and hands-on approach to lead the transformation of its content. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a bold, differentiated editorial strategy that is in line with the brand and audience goals. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of editors and freelancers, as well as launching and scaling new content formats such as podcasts, videos, and interactive content. A key aspect of the position is to use data and insights to drive editorial decisions, optimize performance, and deepen engagement, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the content meets user needs and business objectives.
Candidates for this role must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or digital publishing, with a focus on healthcare, health tech, or wellness media. Experience in managing editorial teams and freelance networks, as well as a proven track record in launching new content channels, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the HCP audience, particularly Gen X and Millennial professionals, and how to effectively reach them across various platforms. A background in healthcare tech, physician networks, or mental health platforms is also required. The role demands a strategic thinker with a strong editorial point of view, and an omnichannel innovator who is comfortable with experimentation and is adept at wearing many hats.
