About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist RRT NICU

Experience : 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers with strong skillset accepted.

License : RRT, State licensed

Certifications : PALS, NRP, ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• RRT, PALS, and NRP required.
• Critical care respiratory therapy experience.

Description :

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist with a focus on pediatrics and NICU.

The role involves providing respiratory care for neonates and pediatric patients.

Candidates should have the ability to handle a typical patient ratio of 12.

Experience with charting systems, such as Epic, is preferred.

Responsibilities include setting up aerosols, assisting in high-risk deliveries, and performing intubations for neonates and pediatrics.

Mandatory skills include drawing arterial blood gases and managing ventilated patients.

Previous charge experience is preferred but not necessary.

Candidates will be expected to perform various therapies, including high flow nasal cannula and nitric oxide therapy.

The position involves working closely with interdisciplinary support in a critical care environment.

Projected daily census includes 6-7 ventilated patients, with a total of 12 patient rooms.

Float within the facility may be required.

Comfort in floating to different areas based on experience is essential.

Travelers should demonstrate flexibility and a strong commitment to patient care.
