Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in outpatient hand therapy, with CHT certification strongly preferred and a current OT license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an outpatient occupational therapy setting focused on hand therapy
  • Day shift schedule with flexibility including options for 4x10, 4x9 plus half-day Friday, or 5x8 shifts
  • Work with an interdisciplinary patient care team
  • Primary caseload involves patients requiring specialized hand therapy
  • Assume a leadership role on the interdisciplinary team and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide a variety of treatment techniques, education, and support for patients and families
  • Participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and contribute to department effectiveness
  • Completion of required modules during orientation and annually
  • No more than 14 days of requested time off are allowed during the contract
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
  • Facility does not accept candidates with past license action
  • Travelers are not eligible for facility employee incentives
  • Scrubs or dress code requirements are not specified

    • Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification strongly preferred, but candidates with extensive hand therapy experience and interest will be considered
  • Current CPR certification required at time of hire
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent education
  • 1-3 years of hand therapy experience preferred, but all experience levels considered
