Description :
The Machine Operator is responsible for carrying out the consistent mechanical processes of their assigned machine through set up, maintenance, and operation. This machine operator will pay close attention to detail, focus on the present tasks, ensuring accuracy of the machined processed material. It is essential to ensure that quality standards are followed, and tasks and duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner according to standard operation procedures. This position requires a level of detail orientation with a high sense of urgency to keep pace with a fast-paced production environment. Production procedures are carried out smoothly always maximizing efficiencies. Communication is essential to report production barriers to management relating to productivity, safety, quality, and output.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
General Labor Level II
- Setting up machines to begin production, performing daily preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting machine as necessary.
- Monitoring and ensuring the constant flow of material into machine and conveyors while observing each piece of material for potential defects ensuring each defective product is removed from the production line.
- Creating, stacking, and throwing “lead” product as necessary to generate constant flow of material for production.
- Supporting the manufacturing and daily production goals by carrying out assigned tasks according to the standard operating procedure in a safe and efficient manner within designated area.
- Completing daily quality documentation processes within designated area
- Adheres to company safety policies, housekeeping requirements, and addresses concerns with management.
- Ensure non-stop operation in partnership with various departments to deliver the correct product in sufficient quantities aligning with operating procedures.
- Continuously observe and evaluate machine to identify problems and / or opportunities for improvement
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
