Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist experienced in general radiography and Level 1 trauma for a weekend day shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a general radiology department serving a Level 1 trauma environment
  • Weekend day shift schedule : Sunday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 : 00 AM to 10 : 30 PM
  • Coverage includes a mix of scheduled and emergent radiographic procedures for diverse patient populations
  • Performs radiographic exams according to department protocols, including the administration of IV, oral, and rectal contrast
  • Utilizes PACS and Epic charting systems
  • Duties include reviewing patient history, acquiring and processing exams, administering contrast, and ensuring quality imaging standards
  • Must be able to respond to adverse reactions to contrast and manage patient safety throughout procedures
  • Assists with instruction of students and new staff members as needed
  • May perform duties in other imaging modalities if licensed and as required
  • Adherence to department and regulatory compliance standards is expected
  • Not accepting local candidates residing within 50 miles
  • RTO may not exceed 7 total days in a 13-week contract
  • Travel partners are not accepted
  • Return policy : Workers may not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment and must take a 6-month break before returning

  • Current ARRT (R) certification required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Illinois IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
  • Associate's Degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant radiology experience required
  • Epic charting experience and Level 1 trauma experience required
  • Ability to perform venipuncture for IV contrast administration
