Job Overview
As a Maintenance Mechanic Technician at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. Your expertise in troubleshooting, hydraulics, and electrical systems will be essential in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our production machinery. This position requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on various manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical assemblies
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in production machinery
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance
- Install, modify, and upgrade manufacturing equipment as per specifications and industry standards
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment functionality and repair procedures
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures in all maintenance activities
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and operators
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables, and recommend reordering when necessary
- Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques, tools, and technologies in the manufacturing industry
Qualifications and SkillsRequired :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate's degree in a related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environmentProven expertise in troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systemsStrong knowledge of hydraulic principles, components, and systemsProficiency in electrical systems, including AC / DC motors, PLCs, and control circuitsAbility to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprintsExperience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressureStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesProficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentValid driver's license and ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
