Manufacturing Engineer II - Life Sciences
Join Donaldson as a Manufacturing Engineer II and play a key role in the development, refinement, and release of differentiated technologies in our Life Sciences Operations team. The position is based at the Bloomington, MN facility and requires on-site presence. Role Responsibilities
- Assist in onboarding, operation, and standardization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Provide recommendations and insights from testing using sound engineering judgement to guide manufacturing scale-up efforts.
- Work on multiple projects, prioritizing in support of the project team.
- Operate effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Collaborate with a global team of engineers and industry experts.
- Embed Environmental Health and Safety concepts into process and equipment plans.
- Provide daily production support and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate process design and material flow in designated areas.
- Lead and sustain 6S program within the work area.
- Participate in product and process development (APD) activities by providing manufacturing expertise.
- Lead or participate in PFMEA and equipment / process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new product launches and ongoing production.
- Drive process improvement initiatives for the department, including attainment of cost-reduction targets.
- Provide input for capital investment strategy, researching new techniques and technology for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other functions to provide the best product and process solutions to our customers.
- Perform other related tasks as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Chemistry or equivalent.5 years of experience in Process, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Mechanical Design Engineering.Manufacturing experience.Preferred Qualifications
Eager to learn and develop new skills.Experience in the Automotive and / or Biomedical industries.Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teamcenter, and / or Minitab.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.Strong documentation and formatting skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Knowledge of test and measurement equipment.Previous experience in a manufacturing / pilot process setting.Lean, 6S, or material-flow expertise.Organized and detail-oriented.Basic knowledge of lab environment and safety practices.Willingness to learn.Annual Salary Range
$71,900 – $91,700. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.
