Position Overview
We are seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with ideally 2+ years of experience in civil litigation to join a collaborative and growing legal team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience and receive meaningful mentorship from experienced attorneys. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to build their litigation skills while managing a variety of civil matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and settlement negotiations
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents
- Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and trial preparation
- Maintain organized case files and meet court deadlines
- Handle multiple cases with efficiency and attention to detail
- Provide case evaluations and risk assessments to clients
- Assist in negotiating settlements and resolving disputes effectively
- Prepare witnesses and experts for depositions and trial testimony
- Stay up to date on relevant case law and legal trends affecting practice areas
- Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and ethical obligations
Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the State Bar2+ years of civil litigation experienceStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExperience managing cases from inception to resolutionAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTrial experience is a plus but not requiredBenefits
