Bio-Techne Manufacturing Operations Manager

Pay Range : $89,300.00 - $146,900.00
Job Purpose
This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager Manufacturing Operations and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day buying and planning activity for a rapidly growing life sciences reagent manufacturing facility. Primary activities will be strategic resource planning (both raw material and finished goods) and coordinating manufacturing jobs to ensure finished good inventory meets sales demand on a quarterly basis.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversee buyers and planners and prioritize daily production activities.
- Ensure raw material inventory availability for production schedule.
- Ensure purchase orders are issued on time, track late orders and impact to future production schedule.
- Oversee master production schedule for build to stock business in coordination with Manufacturing and Quality control.
- Oversee all material transactions during receipt, production and QC process in ERP system.
- Monitor work orders throughout the production and QC process checking for delays / issues and escalating appropriately.
- Manage inventory in the ERP system.
- Oversee cycle count program ensuring accurate inventory in the ERP system.
- Manage Scrap due to expiration and excess material.
Qualifications
Bachelors with 5+ years of materials / supply chain experience (may substitute with additional experience)Experience as a buyer, planner or master scheduler requiredExperience working with an ERP system (Expandable ERP a plus)Experience overseeing 3-5 direct reports (warehouse, buying or planning)Experience working in a build to stock business within planning or buyingExperience with a regular cycle count programExperience working with complicated excel filesExperience working in regulated environment (ISO 13485 a plus)Experience working in an Assay / reagent manufacturing facility a plusPhysical Requirements
