Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper.

The Fabrication Shop Helper will assist personnel within the Fabrication department with general fabrication, maintenance, and troubleshooting duties. This individual could be cross-trained to assist with duties related to operating the Burn Table, Sawing equipment or Grinder.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Pull, measure, and gather material as paperwork specifies preparing jobs for fabricators.
  • Track and communicate completed work within Fabrication department.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Fabrication department.
  • Ensure Fabrication area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
  • Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor.
  • Manage cut sheets, and process drawing & traveler packages
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of general assistant experience in a large machinery / equipment -manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure required.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License in good standing is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.
  • Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
