We are seeking an experienced temporary adjunct faculty member in Special Education to teach graduate-level courses at Cambridge College Puerto Rico, San Patricio Campus. The position requires bilingual fluency (Spanish and English), expertise in Special Education, and a strong record of teaching and leadership in higher education or educational systems.

Course Delivery : At Cambridge College Puerto Rico, courses are offered in a dual-language format (Spanish and English). English is the primary language for course design and presentation, while Spanish is the main instructional language. Candidates must be fluent in both languages.

Schedule & Location : Courses are delivered in a hybrid format on weekends, at pre-scheduled dates and times, on our San Patricio, Puerto Rico Campus.

Requirements :

  • Doctoral degree with a specialization in Special Education, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or Special Education Administration from a recognized and accredited U.S. higher education graduate institution.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience teaching at the higher education level in the field of Special Education, or four (4) or more years of supervisory experience in high-level educational systems (e.g., school district or state-level leadership roles).
  • Demonstrated experience teaching with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Canvas.
  • Evidence of being current and updated in the field of Special Education, including knowledge of recent research, policies, and best practices.
  • Graduate-level teaching experience and a record of scholarly publications or professional contributions in Special Education are highly desirable.
  • Note : Candidates with only a master's degree will not be considered, as the Cambridge College Puerto Rico programs are graduate-level.
