The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead our internal engineering team and drive technical execution across a wide range of commercial and industrial construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration and communication skills.
Salary Range : $100,000 - $130,000, depending on qualifications and experience
Reimbursement of a portion of relocation expenses for a highly qualified candidate willing to relocate
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support the growth of an 8–10 person staff in the engineering departmentRead and interpret construction documents, drawings, schematics, and designsDesign and develop specifications for electrical systems on commercial and industrial projectsIdentify and implement engineered solutions to field challengesPromote the use of pre-fabrication and innovative electrical installation techniquesCollaborate with project teams to improve installation efficiency and productivityUse tools such as AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Projects, Excel, Bluebeam, Procore, and / or ConEst to support project planning and executionEnsure alignment with project scope, timelines, and cost targetsMaintain high standards of documentation, detail, and team collaborationMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineeringProfessional Engineering (P.E.) licenseMinimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in commercial and / or industrial constructionAdditional experience in project management, estimating, prefabrication, or project controls is a plusProficient in engineering software and construction management toolsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsValid driver's license and reliable transportationMust pass a pre-employment drug screenMust be willing and able to relocate and / or commute to our Spindale, NC office locationQualifications
Experience managing or scaling an engineering departmentHands-on knowledge of prefabrication workflows for electrical systemsFamiliarity with a multi-project, multi-discipline construction environmentPortfolio
