  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts per week\n

  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,590 - $1,710\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-6\n
  • Scrubs : Caribbean blue (not provided)\n
  • Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions)\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (Maryland nursing jobs)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent IMC / Cardiac Stepdown nursing experience\n
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience required\n
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association)\n
  • Proficiency with chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside cardiac monitoring, non-titratable drips, IV infusions\n
  • Ability to manage patient ratios of 1 : 4-6\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n
  • Flu vaccine required\n
  • First-time travel nurses welcome\n

    • \n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical diagnoses (CHF, diabetes, COPD / asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD / dialysis, hypertension / hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, post-surgical cases)\n
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias\n
  • Manage chest tubes, central and peripheral lines, PCA infusions, and non-titratable cardiac drips\n
  • Perform bedside monitoring and operate specialized equipment (ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, lift equipment)\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology)\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to isolation precautions and hospital protocols\n
  • Participate in weekend coverage as needed\n
