Outsourcing Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Outsourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing external suppliers and subcontractors to support the Company’s metal manufacturing operations. This role ensures outsourced production meets quality standards, cost targets, delivery schedules, cost objectives, and compliance requirements. The Outsourcing Specialist works closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and production teams to align outsourcing strategies with business goals. The Outsourcing Specialist acts as the key liaison between internal teams and external vendors to optimize supply chain performance, strengthen partnerships, and mitigate risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supplier Management
• Identifies, qualifies, and onboards new suppliers and subcontractors for machining, fabrication, coating, heat treatment, and other specialized metal processes.
• Negotiates contracts, pricing, and service agreements to optimize cost savings and value.
• Maintains strong supplier relationships to ensure performance and reliability.
• Monitors supplier performance (quality, on-time delivery, cost adherence, responsiveness) and implements corrective actions where needed.
• Builds long-term partnerships with key vendors to ensure capacity, capability, and reliability.

Process Coordination

o Evaluates cost / benefit analysis of outsourcing versus in-house production.
