American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a weekend day shift position requiring ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and at least one year of MRI experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based MRI department at a Level III trauma, teaching, and specialty care facilityHandles 30–40 patients per day across ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient unitsPatient populations include adults and pediatrics, including those with medical devices and requiring anesthesia for imagingCommon cases include neuro, stroke, seizure, cancer, diabetic foot, GI conditions, prostate cancer, and pediatric imagingPerforms both cardiac and pediatric MRI, with and without anesthesia supportUses GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist 450W and Siemens 3T Skyra MRI equipmentUtilizes Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACSShifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM (12-hour days) with every weekend coverage requiredNo on-call or floating requiredPrimary responsibilities include patient screening, technical MRI procedures, image quality assurance, and coordination with radiologists and nursing staffMust be able to identify and assist patients using two identifiers and provide clear procedural explanationsDocument and interview for complete medical histories from EMRResponsible for exams from initiation through dictation of resultsCare for medical device-dependent and pediatric patients, including those needing anesthesiaTeam includes radiology nurses, guest / transport services, Child Life Services, and overnight tech assistantsBlack scrubs requiredFree parking availableHoliday coverage is required if shift falls on a designated holiday weekendDepartment provides thorough orientation of 2 days to 1 week as needed, plus one day of administrative onboardingFirst-time travelers are consideredTraveler must reside at least 50 miles from the facility\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year recent MRI technologist experienceARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification requiredBLS certification requiredLicense required if applicableExperience working with diverse patient populations including high acuity, neuro, cardiac, and pediatric casesAbility to prepare and administer IV contrast following department protocolsExperience using Epic EMR and radiology-specific systems preferred\n Benefits\n
