The opportunity is within Cambria's heating service delivery team, covering the South Wales region. As the Senior Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping and improving the future of service delivery to Wales & West Housing's residents.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and managing a team of Heating Engineers.
- Planning and managing workload to include plumbing, heating and gas installation works on reactive maintenance and planned works projects.
- Delivering training to heating staff, facilitating continual performance improvements and developing the heating service.
- Being responsible for van stock, usage, recording, stock profile and specialist individual job materials, along with any necessary plant and vehicles.
- Monitoring health and safety requirements, providing appropriate training and taking action for any non-compliance.
- Carrying out and maintaining task-specific risk assessments for all appropriate tasks (e.g., work at height, heating work, COSHH and manual handling) and conducting toolbox talks for operational staff.
- Developing and managing relationships with external organisations related to heating service delivery, ensuring certification and membership is maintained.
- Completing and maintaining all necessary associated work documentation, records, systems, assessments and certification.
Qualifications
Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 / 3 or equivalent) and ACS qualifications CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1.What you will earn and benefits
The rate of pay is £20.17 per hour for a basic 40-hour week, average earnings £41,945.You will participate in a 24 / 7 emergency call-out service for which there is additional payment. A current valid full driving licence is required.
