We are looking to hire a highly motivated per diem MRI Technologist in Walnut Creek, California.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform MRI procedures on patients with a referral from a medical provider.
• Explain MRI procedure to patients
• Communicate with patient during MRI procedure
• Capacity to follow ordering providers’ orders in conjunction with the Radiologist protocols
• Sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the patients
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of safe MRI practice as outlined from the ACR
• Submit images per ACR guidelines every four years for re-accreditation.
• Comply with safety regulations involving the use of MRI to protect yourself, patients and other staff members.
• Call in service for MRI equipment when needed
• Conduct QA on MRI Equipment and keep accurate and up to date logs
• Must have venipuncture license and the ability to inject contrast
• Communicate STAT result to Radiologist
• Follow-up on STAT results with referring provider
• Knowledge of budget guidelines for ordering supplies
• Attend staff meetings (may occur outside of office hours)
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Communicate with practice manager on any related issues from above
• Communicate with Radiologist on MRI best practice as needed
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

Pay Scale / Ranges : $37.00-$60.00 / hour

Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The pay scale / ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
