System Engineer

Job Description :

This position is within Lockheed Martin's Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation (EBDT) Classified IT Transformation organization. This group is focused on transforming IT delivery to Classified programs and environments.

The Role :

The candidate will be a System Engineer for an enterprise WAN solution called DarkStar . They will be responsible for supporting the Windows environments within DarkStar at one of the node locations and will serve as the primary interface for DarkStar.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain, sustain, and keep secure all Windows environments within the DarkStar system.
• Work closely with the larger DarkStar system engineering and network teams.
• Comfortable working in an environment supporting a large number of different platforms ranging from enterprise servers to small and midsize servers.
• Perform system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, patching, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, etc.
• Experience with system network tuning and configuration

This position offers a 9×80 schedule with every other Friday off and is located at the Littleton, CO facility.
