The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Radiology has a leadership opportunity for Clinical Chief in the Diagnostic Division of Radiology. Candidate will provide supervision of 2nd and 3rd shift services in Diagnostic Radiology. Candidate will provide clinical and managerial leadership for Adult radiology services, including supervision for 2nd and 3rd shift services of operational activities, technical staff, support staff and students of designated areas. Assure that all staff provide safe clinical care and have the education, methods and resources to accomplish their performance objectives

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Human Resources Management :

• Hire, develop and manage the performance of staff in a departmental unit or functional division.
• Provides supervision to designated technical and support staff to include assignment of work schedule, work area and shift assignments.
• Inform staff concerning changes in University, hospital, department and area policies and procedures.
• Schedule classes and other education programs to assure compliance with hospital requirements
