The Small Group Meeting Manager at Edgewood Tahoe Resortis responsible for managing all aspects of small-to-mid-size group bookings, events, and corporate meetings. From initial inquiry to execution, the role involves maximizing revenues through effective account management, event planning, and exceptional customer service. This Small Group Meeting Manager serves as a key liaison between clients and resort internal departments, ensuring an exceptional, seamless guest experience aligned with the resort’s five-star service standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Proactively solicit and manage group business opportunities ranging from 6 to 20 guests, including corporate meetings, incentive travel, and social groups.
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations that reflect the luxury brand and client expectations.
- Conduct site inspections and pre-convention meetings with clients.
- Proactively respond to inquiries and convert leads to confirmed bookings through site visits, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, DMCs, and corporate clients to maximize repeat business.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all assigned groups from contract to departure.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of meetings, including banquet event orders (BEOs), room blocks, VIP experiences, transportation, and off-site activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments (culinary, spa, activities, housekeeping, AV, etc.) to execute flawless programs.
- Ensure that events align with Forbes 5-star standards and the resort’s brand promise.
- Prepare accurate contracts and proposals, negotiate terms within established guidelines.
- Analyze group profitability and provide post-event reporting.
- Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, and sales missions as needed.
- Uphold the resort’s image, values, and service culture in all interactions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills :
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Minimum of 2 years in group sales, catering, VIP services or event management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.Proven track record in achieving sales goals and delivering high-level service.Strong knowledge of meeting planning processes, F&B service, and hotel operations.Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Commitment to maintaining the high standards of a luxury resort environment.Physical Requirements :
