Join PTAG , a leading Project Management Advisory & Services firm recognized across North America is seeking a Field Construction Manager (FCM) to oversee all on-site construction, electromechanical, and civil activities.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you’ll ensure project execution aligns with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements in accordance with client and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for an experienced field leader who thrives in dynamic environments and values precision, accountability, and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise field activities including civil, mechanical, and electrical work.
- Monitor construction progress and compare contractor schedules to project baselines.
- Lead daily coordination with contractors and conduct weekly progress meetings.
- Review invoices, manage material deliveries, and inspect work for compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date on-site as-built drawings and documentation.
- Coordinate with local / state authorities and manage outage requests via E-STAR / CONVEX .
- Resolve construction discrepancies and track change orders, RFIs, and design modifications.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports including audit logs and meeting minutes.
- Enforce OSHA and site safety standards through inspections and briefings.
- Oversee environmental compliance, including inspections, reporting, and regulatory coordination.
- Support quality assurance by reviewing ITPs, redlines, permits, and testing documentation.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent.Minimum 10 years of experience in :Construction managementTesting and maintenance of electrical equipmentRelay protection and control systemsField commissioning and troubleshootingElectrical engineering and SCADA systemsKnowledge of substation, transmission, and distribution systems.Experience with outage coordination, tagging procedures, and safety audits.Familiarity with NEC, NESC, OSHA, FERC, NERC, and CIP standards.Certifications :
