Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CVICU Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with recent acute care experience and required telemetry and NextStage CVVH skills for night shifts. Responsibilities Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a hospital setting Night shifts (4x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 30) with every other weekend and some holidays required Care for patients post-cardiothoracic surgery, transplant, and those with advanced cardiac devices Experience with NextStage CVVH machine and basic arrhythmia monitoring required Floating required, with possible assignments to multiple units or locations based on staffing needs Responsibilities include managing complex cardiac and thoracic surgery patients and supporting transplant cases Orientation is typically held every other week and lasts about one week Testing includes pass / fail telemetry exams with strict criteria for lethal rhythms and complete accuracy on certain questions Team members are expected to float as needed to other units or locations during the assignment RTO is generally limited to 2 weeks per contract, with specific department approval required First-time travelers accepted in some units depending on departmental guidelines Facility has a Magnet designation and is recognized for advanced cardiac care Requirements Active WI or Compact RN license in hand prior to consideration BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience in CVICU within the last 3 years Basic telemetry and arrhythmia interpretation experience required Must pass a rigorous telemetry exam prior to starting, with two attempts allowed Experience using the NextStage CVVH machine required Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615381.
