Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU or CCU experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Float to other units is required
  • Every third weekend coverage is required
  • Patient population includes critical and multi-system organ failure cases
  • Care for patients requiring advanced procedures, including ventilator management, cardiac drips, ECMO, and ICP monitoring
  • Responsibilities include critical care for high acuity patients, ventilator management, and implementing hypothermia protocols
  • Teamwork and collaboration with multi-disciplinary care teams are essential
  • Strict adherence to infection prevention and isolation protocols is expected
  • Proper use of PPE is required
  • Candidates will be considered only if they fulfill the 60-mile local candidate rule

    • Requirements

  • Active MD or compact RN license is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU or CCU RN experience
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Proficiency with surgical ICU procedures, ventilators, CVVHD / CRRT, ECMO, and advanced cardiac monitoring
  • Experience with arterial and central lines, PICC management, and blood product administration is required
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ABGs, and emergency medications
  • Must reside within 60 miles of the facility
