Overview
Senior Property Manager - Multifamily
Privately held multifamily real estate owner and operator is seeking a Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties located throughout Brooklyn. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of day-to-day property operations, tenant relations, and building systems, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a portfolio of multifamily residential buildings
- Supervise maintenance staff and vendors to ensure timely and quality repairs
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues
- Manage rent collections, lease renewals, and enforce building rules
- Coordinate apartment turnovers, unit inspections, and move-in / move-out procedures
- Handle tenant complaints, service requests, and emergencies in a timely, professional manner
- Work closely with ownership on budgeting, capital planning, and rent roll oversight
- Ensure compliance with local laws and building code requirements (e.g. HPD, DOB, FDNY)
- Maintain organized property records including leases, work orders, and inspection logs
