Data Engineer

The Data Engineer supports the Customer Experience : Data-Driven Management (CX : DDM), Process Design & Development Team by designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and tables that empower stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.

This role focuses on developing and optimizing data structures in Snowflake using SAP and other enterprise sources, while enabling analytics through Sigma, Power BI, and other reporting tools. The engineer will collaborate closely with group companies and internal teams to understand business needs, deliver reliable datasets, and ensure performance, quality, and security across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and maintain data tables and pipelines in Snowflake .
• Develop logical and physical data models to support analytics and BI use cases.
• Optimize SQL code, queries, and data structures for scalability and performance.
• Build ETL / ELT processes to extract and transform data from SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across multiple sources.
• Implement data security best practices including access controls and masking.
• Support both on-premises and Azure PaaS cloud environments .
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Provide structured datasets for reporting in Sigma and Power BI dashboards.
• Monitor, debug, and optimize performance of data pipelines.
• Plan and implement High Availability / Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions for Snowflake workloads.
• Document data processes, pipelines, and dependencies for ongoing support.
• Contribute to the development of data management standards and best practices .
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
