Must-Have :

Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.

First-time travelers are accepted with Labor and Delivery experience.

Description :

This position involves caring for patients in labor, postpartum, antepartum, newborns, and infants less than 28 days old.

The facility has an 8 bed unit with a Level 2A Nursery to care for sick babies.

Preferred experience includes Gyn-surgical and mastectomy post-operative care.

Patient ratios are 1 : 2 for laboring patients and 1 : 3-4 for couplets.

Required skills include electronic fetal monitoring interpretation and intervention, as well as adult and neonatal assessment skills.

Support staff in the unit includes a charge nurse who oversees all units and a nurse resource team available facility-wide.

Lab services are available 24 / 7.

Nurses may be required to float to medical / surgical units as needed, within the scope of their practice.

Weekend rotation is required every other weekend, and holiday expectations include three scheduled holidays and one on-call holiday with a rotating schedule.

Time off requests are allowed, subject to approval based on gold ticket allocations.
