Institutional Retirement Plan Consultant

Overview : The ideal candidate for the Institutional Retirement Plan Consultant role at Relation Wealth Management is a knowledgeable and dynamic professional who specializes in managing and consulting on retirement plans for organizations. This individual excels at delivering strategic guidance to plan sponsors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing retirement plan outcomes for participants.

Key Characteristics :

  • Expert in Retirement Plans : Possesses deep knowledge of 401(k), 403(b), pension plans, and other institutional retirement solutions.
  • Consultative Approach : Skilled at assessing organizational needs and providing tailored recommendations to improve plan design, cost-efficiency, and participant outcomes.
  • Compliance-Focused : Thoroughly understands ERISA regulations and ensures that clients remain compliant with all legal and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Participant Advocate : Committed to enhancing participant education and engagement to help employees achieve their retirement goals.
  • Analytical and Strategic : Adept at analyzing plan performance, benchmarking against industry standards, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (ASPPA or other retirement plan certifications preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retirement plan consulting or institutional investment advisory roles.
  • Knowledge or plan tools including Fi360.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, fiduciary standards, and retirement plan design.
  • Proven ability to work with plan sponsors, investment committees, and third-party administrators.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Preferred AUM at or above $50M.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary consultant for institutional clients, providing guidance on retirement plan design, investment selection, and compliance.
  • Conduct regular plan reviews, including performance analysis, fee benchmarking, and fiduciary assessments.
  • Educate plan sponsors and participants on retirement planning strategies and best practices.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends to provide proactive advice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
