Senior Mechanical Designer

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to design reactor core components and structures for advanced nuclear reactors.

Key Responsibilities

Translate engineering input into equipment and component design solutions

Create detailed engineering models, drawings, and specifications

Mentor junior designers and coordinate work with subcontractors

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the nuclear sector

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD systems

Deep understanding of GD&T and experience with tolerance stack ups

Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles

Experience with CAD data management (PDM) is preferred
