About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will assist in managing the monthly financial close process, be responsible for analyzing financial statement fluctuations, support preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, and support external audits. The position also requires researching complex accounting issues and collaborating with various teams across the company to streamline processes.

About the Work

• Assist in managing the monthly close process for assigned areas, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Help develop and maintain the process for revenue recognition and cost of revenue tracking within the Oracle ERP system.
• Prepare quarterly / annual financial statements, footnotes and related tie-outs, including the coordination of necessary supporting documentation.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
• Support the external audit process, including preparation of audit requests and serving as a point of contact for auditors.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Engineering and other teams to streamline processes.
• Combine GAAP accounting knowledge, operational experience and critical thinking to effectively identify and research complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842 and other non-routine transactions.
• Participate actively in automation efforts and other improvement processes.

About You

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $94,050 and $141,550 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
