American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D, postpartum, and GYN experience with straight night shifts and key certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital setting on a 19-bed Labor & Delivery unitPatient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum moms and babies, and GYN surgical patients, including high-risk casesTypical nurse to patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 for L&D, 1 : 3 for mom / baby couplets, and up to 1 : 5-6 for combined assignmentsUtilizes EPIC EMR for documentation as well as OBIX for L&D centralized monitoring12-hour night shifts with occasional days, with every other weekend and holiday requiredFloating may be required to the newborn nursery and NICU when neededPrimary responsibilities include care of labor and delivery patients, postpartum care for mothers and babies, and postoperative care for GYN patientsUse fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital sign monitors, and associated L&D documentation systems36-hour orientation is provided for travelersNavy blue scrubs are required for GYN and mom / baby care, while hospital-provided scrubs are used in L&DTravelers must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of the facilityAll previous Sanford Health employees must have concluded employment at least 6 months prior to considerationHoliday coverage is required according to the unit’s assigned schedule\n \n Requirements\n
Active ND or compact RN license in hand at the time of considerationMinimum of 3 years of recent L&D, postpartum, and GYN nursing experienceCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are requiredExperience with fetal monitoring and care across L&D, mother / baby, and GYN populationsSTABLE certification preferred but not required\n Benefits\n
