We're looking for a Security Systems Technician to join our field operations team and help bring top-tier projects to life.
What You'll Do
As a Security Systems Technician, you'll support system installations on customer job sites, working closely with lead technicians, project managers, and customers to ensure systems are installed correctly, efficiently, and safely.
You'll :
- Install and troubleshoot security systems based on provided plans and standards
- Support and collaborate with the lead technician and field team on all aspects of the install
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members to resolve questions and stay on track
- Maintain clean and accurate project documentation using our system (ConnectWise)
- Keep daily logs of work completed, devices installed, and any changes made in the field
- Update drawings, schedules, and site data as needed during installation
- Follow all customer and company safety policies (OSHA compliance required)
- Represent Pro-Tec Design in a professional, customer-first manner every day
What You'll Need
Strong communication skills - both verbal and writtenA Power Limited Technician (PLT) License from the State of MinnesotaAbility to read and understand technical plans and system schematicsA high attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsComfortable using computers for documentation, reporting, and system configurationA valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be able to maintain DOT medical certificationAble to pass a background check and drug screeningHigh school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary technical training preferredPreferred experience :
Hands-on work with at least one of the following systems (more is better) : Lenel, AMAG, DSX, ProWatch, Feenics, Brivo, Genea, Verkada, Milestone, Exacq, Avigilon, Verint, OpenEye, YourSixBasic knowledge of networking and Windows environmentsManufacturer certifications are a big plusWhy Join Pro-Tec Design?
