Job Purpose : As a Restoration Crew Chief, you will supervise a dedicated crew in restoring properties damaged by fire, water, and other disasters. You will monitor the progress of each job, ensuring daily measurements and adjustments are made as needed. Your role includes completing all necessary forms, project paperwork, and photo documentation in line with our established protocols. You will also communicate with the Account Manager to coordinate actions and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.

Reporting Relationships : This position reports to the Operations Manager or Branch Manager. In cases of emergency-level workloads, you may report to another member of management.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ensure timely and quality completion of assigned restoration projects, including cleaning, moving, packing, and general labor.
• Evaluate the competence and quality of Restoration Technicians and Staff Laborers.
• Continuously increase the knowledge and skill level of Restoration Technicians and Staff Laborers through training.
• Maintain the security, integrity, and cleanliness of all company equipment and supplies used on projects.
• Ensure the productivity of assigned Restoration Technicians and Staff Laborers.
• Complete all required restoration project documentation, including forms and photo documentation, in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain excellent customer communication and relations.
• Complete work assignments in a timely, safe, and quality manner.
• Secure supplies and equipment from company inventory and return them after use.
• Direct, aid, and supervise Restoration Technicians and Staff Laborers on a per-project basis.
• Advise Project Managers on the selection of qualified laborers for new or vacant positions.
• Adhere to the restoration scope detailing time and material budgets and advise the Project Manager on any discrepancies.
• Maintain a daily production report detailing time spent, items completed, and laborers used on each project.
• Keep all company equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Inform the Operations Manager about any mechanical problems with trucks or equipment.
• Requisition needed equipment or tools not in company inventory.
Qualifications :
• Education :

Required : High School Diploma.

Required : One year of restoration or carpet and upholstery cleaning experience.

Required : Valid state driver's license, Water Restoration Tech (WRT) certification.
