Registered Dental Hygienist (Full-Time)

Location : ARD of La Jolla

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing, patient-focused dental practice in La Jolla. Our ideal candidate is not just technically excellent but loves educating patients and building lasting relationships.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering top-tier preventive and periodontal care, helping patients maintain optimal oral health, and collaborating closely with our doctors and clinical team. Experience with iTero scanning and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is preferred but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
  • Utilize iTero for scans and digital records (preferred).
  • Incorporate Guided Biofilm Therapy techniques (preferred).
  • Educate patients on home care, periodontal disease, and treatment options.
  • Review radiographs, intraoral images, and charting to support accurate diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with the doctors to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain sterilization, operatory setup, and OSHA compliance.
  • Deliver a concierge-level patient experience in every appointment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current California RDH license in good standing.
  • Enthusiasm for patient education and relationship building.
  • Comfort with digital workflows (Dentrix, iTero, GBT experience a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for staying current with dental hygiene best practices and technology.
