Aide in the provision of medical and nursing services for residents and maintenance of related records. Must be alert to the changes and developments in the health status of individual residents and sensitive to their needs in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Aide in the coordination of functions of the health office during designated hours of operations and answer resident questions, including medication management program oversight.
- Respond to resident calls for aid. Collaborate with appropriate persons or agencies when in home services are needed.
- Provide assistance with scheduling educational / health programs for resident education and wellness promotion.
- Aide family members and staff on current changes in function / condition as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Education and Work Experience :
Required Degree : High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred Degree : N / ACertificate(s) : CPR, if required by stateExperience : Entry LevelKnowledge, Skills, and Ability :
Ability to communicate effectively with residents and healthcare professionals.Ensure that all medical records, prescriptions, and procedures are completed correctly to avoid errors.Knowledge of privacy regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.Ability to assist with routine procedures as needed.Ability to provide a welcoming environment and addressing patient concerns effectively.Physical Requirements :
Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office / community setting.Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.Ability to lift, carry, push, and / or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs.Ability to operate various equipment based on department and weather conditions.Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers typing and / or writing.Clarity of Vision :
For near visual acuity Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.For far visual acuity, Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. This is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well.For peripheral vision, observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.Compensation Pay Range : $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to : job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
