Striping Technician
The Striping Technician provides for the safe and efficient movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic through the installation and maintenance of roadway pavement markings and documentation of those markings.

We require :
High school diploma or GEDOne year of experience in traffic control or traffic operations, including installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, or two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or construction of roadsMust possess or have the ability to obtain an American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Flagging certification within six months of hireMust possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hireWe also value :
Experience driving a Paint Stripe Truck and / or a Chase TruckCompletion of IMSA Level 1 Signs & MarkingsCompletion of "ATSSA Flagger" and "ATSSA Traffic Control Technician"Class A CDL with Tanker endorsementJob contributions :
Install and maintain roadway pavement markingsOperate a 2 ton paint stripe truck, chase truck, Sweeper, or other vehicles and equipment as neededLoad and unload equipment and materialsPerform pre-check and pre-inspection of vehiclesRead maps, plan routes, prioritize assigned tasks, clean, and maintain paint systemInterpret and / or draw traffic diagrams and / or sketches of pavement marking layoutsInterpret and mark roadways for the application of the appropriate roadway markingsAssess and report roadway and traffic control conditionsOperate and maintain two-way radio contact with MCDOT DispatchOther job duties as assignedWorking conditions :
