Flexible scheduling to support your work-life balance and career goals :

Full-Time Evenings : 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM (36 hours / week)

Full-Time Day / Evening Rotation : 36 hours / week

Full-Time Day / Evening Rotation : 32 hours / week

Part-Time Day / Evening Rotation : 24 hours / week

Weekend and holiday rotations are required for all roles.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid over two years)

About the Unit

This specialized 12-bed unit provides short-term psychiatric care for older adults experiencing acute behavioral health challenges. Nurses on this team are essential in :

Stabilizing patients during mental health crises

Collaborating with providers to manage medications

Coordinating discharge planning for safe transitions

Delivering empathetic, patient-centered care in a secure setting

All newly licensed RNs or RNs with less than six months of acute RN experience and who are interested in this department or any other Acute RN role within UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, are encouraged and required to participate in the RN Residency program.
