Overview
As a Maintenance Tech Apprentice, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems within the Engineering and Technical Services function.
What You'll Do
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.Follow existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.Contribute to team output by following defined duties, methods, and tasks under supervision.What You'll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs / ladders, and lift / carry heavy loads (50 lbs or more).Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.Good communication skills to exchange straightforward information.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.Top Must Have Skills
