California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking an Information Technology Instructor to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring others and experience in the field of information technology.
Responsibilities :
- Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
- Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
- Employ teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students
- Current certifications in subjects taught
Mastery Of Subject Matter :
Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field or disciplineConnect subject matter with related fieldsStay current in the subject matter through professional developmentAdhering To College Policies And Procedures :
Ensure Student Database is updated and accurateMaintain compliance with accreditation and CIAT policiesSubmit required documentationCommunicate requirements for textbooks, supplies, and equipmentAdhere to the CIAT business casual attire policyRequirements :
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institutionCertification in the subject being taught (CCNA preferred)At least three years of experience in the field or two years of teaching experienceSynchronous online teaching experience preferredEffective presentation and communication skillsGood working knowledge of MS Office applications and learning technologiesPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work :
Days and hours of work are usually Monday through Friday, but weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice per week, on Monday and Tuesday from 6 : 00 pm to 9 : 30 pm PT.
