Position Summary :

The Surgery Unit at Spring View Hospital thrives on teamwork and effective communication. This 10-bed unit ensures that patients receive optimal medical attention and support, with 4 beds in the OR and 6 in Recovery.

As an RN, you will demonstrate professional development and clinical competency while utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

Conducting admission assessments and reassessments within hospital Standards of Care time frames.

Accurately documenting in the patient's medical record.

Monitoring patient responses to medication and lab work results.

Evaluating and addressing the educational needs of patients and families, coordinating discharge assistance as needed.

Communicating any supply or equipment issues to your supervisor.

Performing reassessments based on established guidelines.

Notifying relevant personnel of any adverse changes in a patient's condition.

Working across all areas of surgical services, including outpatient, circulating, scrubbing, PACU, and Phase II.

Minimum Qualifications : Education :

Associate's degree required

Bachelor's degree preferred

1-2 years of clinical experience is strongly preferred

Certifications :

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire

PALS certification required within 6 months of hire

Certification in area of specialty preferred

License :

Current RN license in the State of Kentucky.
