Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Wheeling, WV 26003 (West Virginia healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Acute Care – 4th Floor Medical-Surgical Unit Assignment Length : 13-week travel RN contract (Start : 10 / 17 / 2025 – End : 1 / 16 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), including weekends and holidays Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay : $1820-$1950 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6-7 EMR System : Allscripts - Sunrise Scrub Color : Navy blue top & bottom, navy scrub jackets (no hoodies) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates awaiting West Virginia RN licensure) Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience BLS (AHA) certification required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Experience with peritoneal dialysis highly preferred Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license with application All licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical and post-operative needs, including orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery cases Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care in the EMR Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including hospitalists, intensivists, CNAs, and support staff Float as needed to other medical-surgical or med / surg oncology units Participate in the care of patients requiring hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis Follow infection control protocols and assist with COVID-19 patient care as needed Engage in unit orientation and ongoing professional development Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Wheeling, WV and take the next step in your nursing career with this top travel Med / Surg RN job!
