Job Title : Industrial Electrician - 3rd Shift

Job Description

The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical components of the presses during the 3rd shift. This role involves working with industrial electrical equipment installations, testing equipment for various electrical parameters, and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switch gears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Understand ladder / relay logic with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs.
• Work with DC drives and NEC Codes.
• Edit and teach Fanuc and / or Comau robots.
• Troubleshoot machinery, including robots and stamping presses, using test equipment and schematics.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and devices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records in accordance with standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is a stamping and robotic weld facility located in an older building with 42 presses and robots. Employees are required to wear steel toes, safety glasses, and sleeves. The facility operates two shifts and maintains a lean workforce. Working hours for the 3rd shift are from 10pm to 6am, Sunday through Thursday, with potential additional hours on Friday night as production picks up.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Line, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.45 - $35.45 / hr.
