Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital with 16 L&D beds and a 6-bed triage area Care for neonates, infants, and adult patients including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension Typical patient ratio is 1 : 1-2 with an average daily census of 15 Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts (19 : 00–07 : 00) Floating required within the facility Two on-call shifts required per 6 weeks for both day and night shifts Epic EMR experience required; Pyxis and SBAR also used Scrub attire is provided by the facility Assignment requires three weekend shifts per contract Duties include labor support, care for cesarean and multiple births, management of postpartum hemorrhage, D&C, and complications including pregnancy-induced hypertension Work collaboratively in a motivated, team-based environment Modules and orientation completed during onboarding; hours are non-billable and factored into orientation Full compliance is required before starting the assignment to avoid orientation delays Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed for the assignment; no RTO during the first week No holiday RTO permitted if one or two major holidays occur during the contract; if three, only one may be requested (see list of holidays for details) Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift in the same unit Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Return travelers may need to complete a successful assignment elsewhere before returning if previously unable to return to a facility No blocked scheduling is allowed Requirements Active GA or compact state RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred Epic EMR experience required Must provide two supervisory references from a manager or higher Former permanent or PRN staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618441.
