We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing accounting operations while ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Responsibilities :
- Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing and manage relationships with third-party administrators for 401k plans.
- Perform monthly bank account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Maintain the chart of accounts and implement controls over accounting transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax reporting requirements.
- Track and manage cash flow across multiple accounts to ensure sufficient cash levels.
- Collaborate with external partners to facilitate the completion of annual federal and state tax filings.
- Support the accounting needs of global subsidiaries while assisting with bill coding and approval processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4 to 6 years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting systems, with NetSuite experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and drive the development of efficient accounting processes.
