Role Summary

The IoT Operations Manager will lead the daily operations of IotaComm’s device ecosystem, gateways, and network operations center (NOC). You will ensure that our deployed IoT infrastructure runs with carrier-grade reliability, supporting SLAs for enterprise and service-provider customers.

This role combines technical operations, field deployment oversight, NOC monitoring, and customer support, with a mandate to drive continuous improvements in uptime, efficiency, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities :

Device & Gateway Operations

  • Manage onboarding, provisioning, and lifecycle of IoT devices (sensors, trackers, smart building devices, etc.).
  • Oversee dual-band LoRaWAN gateways, including firmware updates, SIM backhaul usage, and remote diagnostics.
  • Establish and maintain QA, certification, and compliance processes.

NOC & Network Operations

  • Operate IotaComm’s Network Operations Center (NOC), monitoring devices, gateways, and connectivity KPIs.
  • Define alerting, escalation, and incident response procedures.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports for SLA compliance and customer visibility.
  • Optimize data usage and backhaul performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Support

  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to integrate telemetry into IotaCore™ and IotaIQ™ analytics.
  • Partner with field teams for gateway deployments, troubleshooting, and site surveys.
  • Act as operational contact for customers, ensuring onboarding, escalations, and SLA compliance.
  • Provide operational input into product and roadmap planning.
  • Skills and Qualifications :

    Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in IoT, wireless, or telecom operations.
  • Hands-on experience with LoRaWAN®, LPWAN, or cellular IoT (LTE-M / NB-IoT).
  • Proven track record running NOC operations and using monitoring tools (Grafana, ThingsBoard, Nagios, or similar).
  • Troubleshooting expertise across RF, networking, and cloud integration.
  • Knowledge of IoT security and FCC compliance.
  • Preferred

  • Experience with dual-band or licensed / ISM spectrum deployments.
  • Familiarity with AWS IoT, ChirpStack, Orbiwise LNS, or similar platforms.
  • PMP or ITIL certification.
  • Prior work with carrier-grade IoT service providers.
