About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery

License : Required to hold an active RN license

Certifications : AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP

Must-Have :

2 years of Labor & Delivery experience

Advanced skills in care of the laboring patient

Care of the newborn immediately after delivery

Circulate and recover patients post C-section

Description :

The unit has 12 beds.

Patient ratios are 1 : 2.

The staffing includes RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs.

The documentation system used is CPN and Meditach.

Scheduling requires 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift for RNs.

Techs are required to have 2 call shifts.

Staff members should be prepared for 3 twelve-hour shifts.

Travelers may float to other units as needed.

The unit performs vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C procedures, cerclage, and epidural anesthesia administration.

Dress code consists of Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray scrubs.

Scrubs are not provided.

Candidates must have the required certifications prior to hiring.
